This project examines the planning of a resort development on the North Coast, starting from an assessment of the existing design, which relied on a single-loaded layout, extensive infrastructure, and the removal of the natural coastal ridge to create a lagoon with limited visual access to the sea for most units. In response to these challenges, two alternative planning proposals were developed. The first proposal explores removing the ridge to directly connect the lagoon to the sea, improving access and views but requiring significant earthworks and raising environmental and beach-stability concerns. The second proposal maintains the natural ridge, reduces cut and fill, and reorganizes the road network into a double-loaded system, using swimming pools and shoreline walkways to enhance access and public activity while preserving the natural coastal landscape.
